Ultra Music Festival 2012 Mainstage time-lapse

A 6.000 photo time-lapse of the first day of the 2012 edition of the Ultra Music Festival. With: The Knocks, Tommy Trash, Martin Solveig, Benny Bernassi, Afrojack, Skrillex and Tiësto.

Camera (1DsmkIII) plus 20mm f2.8 mounted on the stage-management platform across the mainstage. The construction was not as solid as I hoped it would be, so the camera shifted a bit during the long series (16:00-24:00). All in all 6.000 photos taken on a Av-setting with a manual ISO correction after sunset. Photos left in their 3:2 format and processed in Lightroom (added: saturation, clarity and vibrance). After export stitched as a video in Windows Movie Maker.

Trance Energy 2010 in Utrechts Jaarbeurs. Great edition with Nic Chagall, Markus Schultz, Sander van Doorn, Armin van Buuren (live by satellite from New York) and Above & Beyond really getting the masses jumping at the mainstage.

Mainstage closing moments…

And here they are: 265 photo’s of this years Q-Dance Defqon.1 at the Almere Beach. please enjoy, it was simply an amazing day with plenty of sunshine and a crazy liveshow to finish (Headhunterz). What a nice treat: while working for Jack Daniels at the Pinkpop festival, edition 2008 I had a couple of minutes to spare to photograph Metallica at the mainstage. Not enough time to do it really properly but still good enough to shoot a couple of nice pics and a really great one. What more can one ask for? A Jack and Coke?
